VPN Sydney is built to protect your privacy. This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, what we don't, and why.
Who we are
VPN Sydney is operated by Virtual Simulation Systems (VISIM), based in Australia. We can be reached at support@vpn.sydney.
The short version
- We do not log your online activity — the websites you visit, what you download, your DNS queries, or the contents of your traffic. See our No-Logs Policy.
- We only keep the minimum information needed to run your account and process payment.
- We never sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and a securely hashed password.
- Payment details: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card number — Stripe does, securely. We keep a record of your subscription status and billing history.
- Basic operational data: the minimum needed to keep the service working and secure (e.g. account creation date, the number of devices on your plan).
What we do NOT collect
- Browsing history, websites visited, or DNS queries.
- The contents, source, or destination of your traffic.
- Connection timestamps tied to your activity, or bandwidth logs used to profile you.
How we use your information
Only to: create and secure your account; process your subscription; provide support; and keep the service running, safe, and reliable. We may email you about your account, security, or important service changes.
Who we share it with
Only the trusted providers we need to operate — for example Stripe (payments) and our server/hosting providers. We may disclose information if required by Australian law, but because we keep no activity logs, there is nothing about your browsing to hand over.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email support@vpn.sydney and we'll help.
Data security & retention
Passwords are stored hashed (never in plain text). We retain account and billing records only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal/tax obligations, then delete them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the date above.
